About:

My name is Izzy Laskin, I’m a captain of the girls varsity hockey team. I, and three other players, helped out at Cambridge Youth Hockey’s Learn To Play for Girls program an hour a week for fourteen weeks. We started out mostly running the tag session and setting up cones but throughout the season we grew into our roles as leaders and teachers. At the end of the program, staff asked another player, Julia, and I to run a session by ourselves which we did with the help of our teammates. I think both players and coaches got a lot out of this program.
