About:
Students from the Comsewogue School District recently spent time giving back to their school community by helping inspire a love of reading among younger students.
Members of the Comsewogue High School Business Honor Society visited Norwood Avenue Elementary School and Clinton Avenue Elementary School, where they read books to elementary students during a special literacy-focused visit.
The high school students shared stories and connected with the younger learners, creating a fun and engaging experience that highlighted the importance of reading and mentorship. Their visit not only encouraged literacy but also strengthened the connection between students across grade levels in the district.
The books used during the visit were generously provided by Chick-fil-A, whose support helped make the experience possible for the elementary students.
Through initiatives like this, Comsewogue students continue to demonstrate leadership and a commitment to community service. By taking time to read with younger peers, these student leaders are helping foster confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.
