About:
Rocky Point’s baseball teams once again gave their time and talents to raise money for the Live Like Susie Scholarship.
Under the leadership of the varsity team, the middle school and junior varsity teams collaborated to raise money for the cause, which is given to a senior in honor of Susie Facini, a Rocky Point alumnus who passed away suddenly at the age of 20.
For the second year, the varsity team dedicated their game against Mt. Sinai to the cause, and both teams made donations to the fund. Susie’s parents were present during the game. Mr. Facini threw out the first pitch before he and his wife were presented with a commemorative ball signed by the team and flowers.
