Cornwall Football Team Builds Homes and Community with Habitat for Humanity

Through this partnership with Habitat for Humanity, the team not only strengthened their teamwork and leadership skills but also embraced the value of giving back and contributing to something bigger than themselves. Their efforts highlight how sports can extend beyond the game, fostering a sense of service, unity, and community involvement.

The players took on various tasks at two different sites, guided by Habitat for Humanity foremen who provided instructions while giving them the freedom to problem-solve. From clearing debris to assisting in the homebuilding process, the boys worked hard to make a difference.

This initiative was sparked by one of the players, who had previously volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and suggested it to the team. Eight players stepped up to participate, and it was incredible to see them work together outside of the school or football setting, embodying the spirit of service.
