About:
Throughout Mental Health Awareness Month, Croton-Harmon High School Athletics is using the power of sports to help promote mental wellness, support, and community connection.
This week, Croton Athletics is honoring Mental Health Awareness Month at all home contests by displaying green mental health awareness banners across campus and providing both home and visiting teams with bracelets, green ribbons, and pins. Special messages focused on awareness, support, and breaking the stigma surrounding mental health are also being shared during games and events.
The initiative highlights the school community’s commitment to creating an environment where student-athletes feel supported both on and off the field.
Two featured events are helping lead the week’s efforts:
- Thursday, May 14 – Girls Lacrosse for Morgan’s Message at 4:30 PM
- Friday, May 15 – Game of Hope Softball Fundraiser at 6:00 PM
By combining athletics with advocacy, Croton Athletics continues to show how school sports programs can serve as a powerful platform for compassion, awareness, and positive change. Through these efforts, students, coaches, and supporters are helping encourage important conversations surrounding mental health while reminding others that they are never alone
