About:
Fifth grade student council members at Daniel Street Elementary School in the Lindenhurst Union Free School District have been busy raising money to help leave behind their legacy as they prepare to move to Lindenhurst Middle School.
In preparation for Friendship Month, the students have been selling friendship bracelets. They raised more than $500 and plan to use their earnings to purchase a replacement Daniel Street Flag to gift to the school.
Additionally, the students hope to use the funds to replenish the little library on the playground with new books and more playground balls.
