The Danvers High School Boys and Girls Soccer teams are coming together for a meaningful cause as the Falcons host Pink Week, a special initiative supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month while raising funds for the Talbot Memorial Fund.
Throughout the week of October 19, the soccer programs are using their home games as an opportunity to bring student-athletes, families, and community members together in support of an important cause.
Falcons Rally Together for Pink Week
The fundraising initiative features 50/50 raffles at both the boys and girls home soccer games, with proceeds benefiting the Talbot Memorial Fund.
The boys soccer team kicks off the week’s events on Monday, October 19, at 5:30 PM, hosting Salem High School for a special Pink-Themed Night.
The girls soccer team continues the effort on Wednesday, October 21, when the Falcons take on Masconomet Regional High School.
Fans attending either game are encouraged to wear pink in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and participate in the fundraising efforts. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase at donation tables, with winners announced at halftime of each game.
Community Support Makes a Difference
The initiative also highlights the generosity of the Danvers community.
A special thank-you goes to the Randall Family, who donated pink socks to all players this season, helping student-athletes show their support for breast cancer awareness while competing on the field.
Through the combined efforts of both soccer programs, the Falcons are demonstrating how teamwork and community involvement can extend beyond athletics.
Making an Impact Beyond the Field
Pink Week is about more than soccer. It provides an opportunity for student-athletes to demonstrate leadership, compassion, and a commitment to supporting others.
By joining forces to raise funds for the Talbot Memorial Fund, the Danvers Boys and Girls Soccer teams are helping bring attention to an important cause while inspiring their school community to get involved.
