About:
Last month, students at Dayton Avenue Elementary School in the Eastport-South Manor Central School District made a collective commitment to spread kindness throughout their school community and beyond.
Students attended a virtual assembly kicking off the month which emphasized the importance of taking care of yourself and others through acts of kindness. They participated in activities all month focused on uplifting their classmates by sharing kind messages.
Additionally, students across the building signed a pledge board displayed at the entrance to the school building which reminds them of their promise to spread kindness each day.
