Last weekend, the Minnesota volleyball community came together in an extraordinary show of love, compassion, and solidarity to honor Harper Moyski and Fletcher Merkel, two Annunciation student-athletes whose lives were tragically lost in September’s shooting.
Athletes and families from DeLaSalle Volleyball, Holy Angels Volleyball, and M1 Volleyball volunteered their time to support a powerful memorial fundraiser—an event filled with competition, community, and heartfelt remembrance.
Through the tournament and silent auction, the event raised nearly $70,000. These funds will help create a permanent memorial honoring Harper and Fletcher, ensuring their legacy continues to inspire the school community. Additional proceeds will benefit Minneapolis Parks and Recreation, helping improve public volleyball facilities and expand opportunities for local youth.
This gathering was more than a fundraiser—it was a testament to the strength of community and the deep bonds formed through sports. Student-athletes, coaches, families, and supporters came together not only to remember two remarkable young athletes, but to help build something meaningful in their memory.
