American flags waved fervently in the hallways of North Babylon’s William E. DeLuca Jr. Elementary School on Nov. 8, as students and staff honored veterans through the school’s fourth annual Veterans Day Parade Celebration.
Students lined up in the hallways and cheered on local veterans during the two-lap parade. Several other students joined the march and held up signs with photos of local veterans. After that, everyone filed into the school’s all-purpose room to watch the gallery of heroes. The video paid homage to the efforts and sacrifices veterans have made for the country.
