About:
The Schroeder Warriors Hockey program came together for a meaningful cause during their recent matchup against Geneva, hosting a special Diabetes Awareness Night at Webster Ice Arena.
Held on Saturday afternoon, the Warriors honored the legacy of alum Chad Graves, who passed away in May 2024, by dedicating the game to Type 1 Diabetes awareness. Known as Chad’s Day, the event reflected the strong sense of community that defines Schroeder Hockey, both on and off the ice.
With a $1 admission to the game, fans, families, and supporters filled the arena, knowing that all proceeds from the event were donated to support Type 1 Diabetes initiatives. The outpouring of support demonstrated the impact high school athletics can have when used as a platform for awareness, remembrance, and giving back.
By turning a game day into an opportunity to honor a former Warrior and support an important cause, Schroeder Hockey showed that the program is about far more than the final score—it’s about legacy, compassion, and community.
