About:
39 athletes dedicated their time, ranging from 5 to 7 hours, to contribute to various activities, including creating signs, gym decoration, fundraising efforts, and using social media to raise awareness.
The event, Dig Yellow, serves as a tribute to the memory of former player Olivia Brodt, who was the teams setter in 2013. Tragically, Olivia was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma during her freshman year at Babson College and passed away a year later. Throughout the entire season, the Volleyball Team proudly sports yellow sneaker laces.
The annual Dig Yellow Match takes place in September, coinciding with Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. The funds raised during this event directly support Tommy’s Place in Centerville, MA, a magical vacation home for children and their families battling cancer. This year, the team successfully raised over $3,000 for this worthy cause.
