About:
The Eagan Wildcats Boys Hockey program turned game night into a powerful show of support during its Stick It to Cancer Night, uniting players, fans, and families to raise awareness and funds for cancer-related causes.
As the Wildcats faced Eastview in both JV and Varsity matchups, the community rallied around the mission through Chuck-a-Puck fundraisers held during each game and general donations throughout the evening. All proceeds benefited the Angel Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting adults with cancer and their families by providing financial assistance and critical resources.
Student-athletes played a key role in the night’s success by promoting the event in advance and encouraging teammates, families, and fans to attend, participate, and give back. Their leadership helped amplify awareness and ensured strong community involvement throughout the evening.
Stick It to Cancer Night highlighted the impact of high school athletics beyond competition. Through student-athlete leadership, fan participation, and community support, the Wildcats used their platform to support a cause that touches so many lives.
Events like this reflect the leadership, compassion, and service mindset that define Eagan Wildcats Hockey, proving that teamwork off the ice can be just as powerful as teamwork on it.
