The East Moriches School District came together in a meaningful show of patriotism and remembrance in honor of September 11.
Students and staff were invited to wear red, white and blue as the school community united to honor and remember those whose lives were lost and forever changed by the events of September 11, 2001.
The district’s message extended beyond remembrance, encouraging students to carry the spirit of the day forward through service and kindness.
“A day of remembrance, a future of service and kindness.”
By bringing students and staff together, East Moriches is helping the next generation understand the importance of remembering the past while recognizing the role they can play in creating stronger, more compassionate communities.
Simple acts of kindness, helping others, and giving back are meaningful ways for young people to honor the spirit of unity and service that emerged following September 11.
