The East Rockaway High School Key Club recently brought joy and comfort to young patients by collecting and assembling 150 care bags for the Little St. Nick Foundation. Each thoughtfully packed bag includes a homemade card, crayons, a coloring book, playing cards, a pop-it toy, and a stuffed animal , all designed to lift the spirits of children who must spend a night or longer in the hospital.
The initiative was a heartfelt effort by student volunteers who wanted to make a difference in the lives of others. The care bags are now being distributed to local hospitals, offering a little brightness and distraction to children facing difficult times.
