Students from the East Rockaway Jr./Sr. High School Skills and Achievement class brought their popular Café 217 to the Village of East Rockaway’s Mayor Charles H. Formont Senior Center where they were greeted warmly by their hosts.
The students engaged with the senior citizens and staff at the center, taking orders with a smile for morning snacks and treats and serving up hot, delicious coffee customized to their liking.
The district is proud of these entrepreneurial students. Their kindness and positive spirit are an inspiration to us all.
