Edina Football Combines Tackle Cancer and Salute to Service for Meaningful Game Night

The Edina Hornets Football program is using one special game night to recognize two important causes as the team hosts Eden Prairie at Kuhlman Field.

The Hornets will take the field for both Tackle Cancer and Salute to Service, bringing players, families, and fans together to support those impacted by cancer while also recognizing the men and women who serve their communities and country.

Through Tackle Cancer, the evening helps raise awareness for the fight against cancer and supports the broader mission of bringing Minnesota football communities together around families affected by the disease.

The Salute to Service portion of the night provides another opportunity for the Edina football community to express its appreciation for those who dedicate themselves to serving others.

By combining both initiatives, Edina Football is showing how high school athletics can be a powerful platform for awareness, gratitude, and community involvement.

While the Hornets and Eden Prairie will compete under the lights, the evening represents something much larger than the final score — a chance for an entire community to come together, honor others, and make an impact beyond the football field.
