About:
Student-athletes from Alexander Hamilton High School recently stepped into leadership roles to give back to their community during a special President’s Day Basketball Clinic hosted by the Village of Elmsford.
Members of both the varsity boys and girls basketball teams, along with their coaches, volunteered their time to lead drills and skill-building activities for aspiring young players. The clinic provided local youth with the opportunity to learn fundamental basketball techniques while gaining valuable encouragement and mentorship from high school athletes.
Throughout the event, student-athletes worked closely with participants, demonstrating proper shooting form, ball-handling skills, and defensive techniques. Their hands-on instruction created an energetic and supportive environment where young athletes could build confidence, develop new skills, and deepen their love for the game.
Beyond teaching basketball fundamentals, the clinic also highlighted the importance of leadership, teamwork, and community connection. By sharing their knowledge and passion for the sport, the Alexander Hamilton players served as positive role models and showed how high school athletics can make a meaningful impact off the court.
Events like the President’s Day Basketball Clinic help strengthen the bond between school programs and the broader community, inspiring the next generation of athletes while reinforcing the values of service and sportsmanship.
