About:
The entire Work2BeWell program is clinically vetted by co-founder Dr. Henderson and offers resources and curriculum designed to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health.
When the club advisor reached out to them, they were thrilled to welcome the Mental Health Awareness club to their team. Following a Zoom call with Sara Niles, the other co-founder, it was clear that this collaboration would greatly benefit the club.
The Work2BeWell website offers a wealth of resources, from podcasts discussing the emotions of graduating high school and becoming independent, to activities for school assemblies that raise awareness of student body diversity.
A dedicated group of students from the Work2BeWell club took charge, reaching out to businesses for donations, promoting the initiative on social media, and arriving early to ensure everything was set up perfectly for the big day.
Each fall, they select an organization to support, and this year, the students chose Family Promise, ensuring that all funds raised stay within their community.
This dedicated group also supported their third annual Mental Health Walk, reinforcing their commitment to promoting mental health awareness and support.
