About:
Photo Caption: Fifth-graders at South Bay Elementary School in the West Babylon School District are helping those in their community and saving the earth at the same time. The students, who are part of a voluntary recess enrichment group, are learning how to use plarn (yarn made out of recycled plastic bags). After watching a tutorial online, the students are crocheting the plarn into upcycled sleeping mats for the homeless.
