About:
Students from Esko High School recently joined peers from Carlton, Proctor, and Cloquet High Schools for the kickoff of the Youth Leadership Development Program, an inspiring initiative designed to empower students and strengthen leadership skills across communities.
The event brought together students from the four schools as part of the Achievement and Integration program, which focuses on building connections among students while creating opportunities to amplify voices that are often underrepresented. Throughout the kickoff event, students participated in activities that encouraged collaboration, communication, and leadership development.
The program provides a platform for students to share ideas, learn from one another, and develop the skills needed to become leaders within their schools and communities. By working together across districts, participants can broaden their perspectives and build meaningful relationships with peers from neighboring communities.
The kickoff event served as an energizing start to the program, with students engaging in discussions, team-building activities, and leadership exercises designed to inspire confidence and encourage positive change.
Through initiatives like the Youth Leadership Development Program, students are gaining the tools and experiences needed to step into leadership roles and make a lasting impact. The collaboration between Esko, Carlton, Proctor, and Cloquet highlights the power of bringing students together to learn, lead, and help shape the future.
