About:
The Fairport Field Hockey student-athletes are coming together for a meaningful cause, supporting the Breast Cancer Coalition through their Breast Cancer Awareness Games. Both the varsity and junior varsity teams are collecting donated items for “Pal Packs,” care packages designed to provide comfort to individuals newly diagnosed with breast cancer as they begin their treatment journey.
A total of 48 athletes—22 from the varsity team and 26 from junior varsity—have taken part in this initiative. Collection boxes have been placed in all eight schools across the district, making it convenient for students, staff, and families to contribute. Donations include items such as cozy socks, journals, and personal care products, all aimed at offering comfort and support to those facing breast cancer.
The dedication of these athletes highlights the power of teamwork, both on and off the field. Their efforts not only raise awareness about breast cancer but also foster a sense of community, compassion, and solidarity among students and local residents.
