Farmingdale State College’s volleyball program is using the power of sports to make a difference this holiday season, teaming up with Island Harvest Food Bank to help fight hunger across Long Island.
Through their “Rams Give Back” Food Drive, the team is encouraging fans, students, and community members to bring canned goods and nonperishable food items to a volleyball game in support of local families facing food insecurity.
Rams Give Back: Bringing the Community Together
As Thanksgiving approaches, Farmingdale State Volleyball is turning game day into an opportunity to give back.
The team is inviting supporters to bring canned goods and other nonperishable food donations to the game, helping collect much-needed food for Island Harvest, one of Long Island’s leading hunger-relief organizations.
The initiative combines school spirit with community service, demonstrating how student-athletes can use their platform to inspire generosity and support an important cause.
