About:

The second-grade service club at Frank J. Carasiti Elementary School – which includes student athletes -collected hundreds of nonperishable food items for local families in need during a weeklong drive.

Leading up to the initiative, the club discussed the importance of assisting others and the big changes they can make, even at such a young age.

“It makes me feel good because I know the donations are going to help families who don’t have enough food” said student Kyle Contri.

The collections were sorted and boxed by the club before being donated to several local food pantries.
