About:
The Floral Park Memorial boys soccer team recently took part in a powerful awareness initiative aimed at supporting children battling B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Thanks to a partnership with Trinity Bar and the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, players were presented with special backpacks that symbolize the equipment young patients must wear during a 28-day immunotherapy transfusion process.
By accepting and wearing these backpacks, the Floral Park athletes demonstrated solidarity with the children who endure this challenging treatment. Their gesture served as a reminder that young fighters are not alone and that the community stands firmly behind them.
In an inspiring show of unity, four pediatric cancer fighters—Tommy, Ben, Johnny, and Danny—will join the team on the sidelines as Floral Park takes on Wheatley in the quarterfinals. Their presence highlights the strength, courage, and resilience at the heart of this cause.
Floral Park Soccer continues to use its platform to raise awareness and uplift those bravely fighting childhood cancer, proving once again that sports can bring people together in meaningful and impactful ways.
