About:
The Fayetteville-Manlius Boys Basketball team is organizing this event in response to the second cancer diagnosis of their team’s mother, Heather Cleary. Given Heather’s significant contributions to their program over the years, the team believed it was their turn to show their support.Consequently, the Fayetteville-Manlius Boys Basketball team reached out to all families from the previous year’s school teams, inviting them to take part in the “Charitable Yard Clean Up & Walk.” In exchange for a donation fee, they will be performing yard cleanups.The entirety of the proceeds generated from this fundraiser will be directed towards the Cleary family. The Fayetteville-Manlius Boys Basketball team plans to divide the children into groups to handle multiple yard cleanups simultaneously.Upon completion of all yard cleanups, the team will organize a town-wide walk to raise awareness about cancer. To honor Heather’s fight against breast and rectal cancer, participants will be encouraged to wear pink and dark blue colors.
