About:
When Rocky Point Middle School and Rocky Point High School students and staff were called upon to gather much-needed items for two Suffolk County nonprofit animal organizations, they stepped up to donate canned food, blankets, accessories, treats, carrier beds, crates and more. Rocky Point Middle School students in Jennifer Gordon’s Family and Consumer Science class took the ask a step further and created stuffed animal-friendly toys: dog “bones” and cat “mice.”
Mrs. Gordon was excited to team up with Patchogue-based Almost Home Animal Rescue and Nesconset-based Paws of War, which received the collected items for their seventh annual Thanksgiving Shelter and Rescue Drive.
