About:

Fourth and fifth grade students at Fork Lane School in Hicksville created valentine cards for local veterans. The project was a part of the Valentines for Vets program run by Nassau County Executive Laura Curran. The cards were mailed to the Nassau County offices and will be delivered to veterans at different locations throughout Long Island.

The students decorated the handmade cards with heartfelt messages for those who served our country. Fork Lane Elementary has been participating in this program for many years.
