he Franklin High School Football team is stepping up to support those affected by Hurricane Helene by organizing a relief drive to collect essential supplies for delivery to North Carolina. The community is invited to join in this important effort by donating much-needed items at two upcoming drop-off events.
Drop-Off Dates and Locations:
- October 9, 2024, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Location: Behind Franklin High School, near the cafeteria. - October 14, 2024, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am
Location: FHS Scoreboard at Pisani Field.
The FHS Football team is working in collaboration with two local agencies to ensure that the donations reach those in need. The situation is urgent, and any contribution, big or small, can make a significant impact on the lives of those affected by the hurricane.
Suggested Items for Donation:
- Cleaning supplies
- Plastic sheeting
- Plastic utensils
- Manual can openers
- AA and AAA batteries
- Baby wipes, diapers, and formula
- Bug spray and sunscreen
- 13-gallon or contractor trash bags
- Toothbrushes, toothpaste, and other hygiene products
- Hand sanitizer and wipes
- Dog and cat food
- Non-perishable foods
- Haircare products
- Work gloves, socks
- Feminine hygiene products
