About:
The entire program of 56 players participate in this volunteer program.
They sign up for 3-4 days per Fall season and they’re there for an hour each time. There are 6-8 girls there per session and there are 2 sessions per Saturday.
They arrive early and help Franklin Soccer School coaches set up for the session, help organize the kids activities, coach the players in their sessions and then help break down the fields/equipment
We chose this because all of our players have come up through Franklin Youth Soccer Association and this was a fun way to give back to the program who helped develop their love of the game
We are also running a food drive for the Franklin Food Pantry this season at all of our home games. At the end of October the girls with sign up for 30 minute shifts for sorting, weighing and organizing donations at the Food Pantry while also spending time with volunteers learning about food insecurity in our own community.
