About:
Blue Point Elementary School fourth- and fifth-grade Peer Leaders joined together with the Lions Club ( all three include student athletes) to host a community dinner fundraiser to support the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind.
During the event, students volunteered to serve in various capacities. Prior to the night, the leaders made posters and jingles to advertise as well as collected raffles from local businesses.
The “Hot Dog for a Guide Dog” event raised nearly $2,130 for the cause.
