About:
Freeport Public Schools’ Leo F. Giblyn Elementary continued their annual tradition of raising money for ALS Ride for Life. While the bike ride could not physically happen this year, Giblyn students, families, and staff raised more than $2,100 to support the cause.
Students brought in coins, many of which they saved on their own, and deposited their contributions into a large jar in the school’s main office.
Because of the generous contributions of Giblyn’s students and staff, the school reached their goal of $2,000 so all classes will receive an extra period of recess.
