About:
This holiday season, the Elwood Middle School student council and community service club teamed up to put together a donation tree, where students, faculty and staff could donate new and gently used coats, gloves, hats and scarves for members of the community in need.
In addition, the community service club also ran a “gifts for kids” drive, collecting new and unused toys for children in the community that are less fortunate.
“When I can give to someone, I feel happy,” said sixth-grader Krish Khanna, “because if I was in their position, I would feel like I was given a miracle.”
