About:
East Northport Middle School students and faculty members raised money for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation on Mar. 8 with the help of SHE Salon. At the conclusion of the school day, individuals were encouraged to donate towards the cause and receive a green hair extension in return.
The small fundraising event was facilitated by the SHARE and Interact Club with all proceeds going towards the St. Baldrick’s Foundation and the school’s team the “East Northport Middle School Bald Tigers” to put an end to childhood cancer. The school also had a leprechaun taking photos with those that passed in exchange for a donation. Approximately 54 students participated in the hair extensions and photo opportunity to support the cause.
East Northport Middle School created the team for the district’s St. Baldrick’s Day event on Mar. 10 and raised more than $15,000 for the foundation.
