About:
The Greeley Field Hockey team continues to lead with heart, raising an impressive $3,300 for the Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation as part of this year’s Breast Cancer Awareness efforts. This marks the program’s third consecutive year supporting the organization—an inspiring tradition rooted in compassion, teamwork, and community impact.
This season’s fundraiser held special meaning with a visit from Pari Forood, Executive Director of Miles of Hope and a former Vassar Field Hockey player. Forood stopped by Horace Greeley High School to personally thank the athletes for their generosity and to recognize the team’s ongoing commitment to uplifting those affected by breast cancer.
Miles of Hope, established in 2004, provides financial assistance, outreach, and vital support services to individuals and families across the Hudson Valley. The team’s contribution helps ease the burdens brought on by a cancer diagnosis and ensures that local families feel supported during some of their hardest moments.
Year after year, Greeley Field Hockey proves that their strength extends far beyond the field. Their dedication, leadership, and collective spirit continue to inspire their school and community—showing how powerful it is when athletes unite for a greater purpose.
