About:
This year’s Dig Pink Game was a deeply meaningful event, uniting the team and community to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research. Organized with the dedication of a team parent, the event held a special significance, as both she and the coach shared a personal connection to the cause, having lost loved ones to the disease.
Fundraising efforts were streamlined through an online dashboard provided by The Side-Out Foundation, making it easy for supporters to contribute from anywhere. Leading up to the game, posters adorned the school, creating anticipation and awareness for this important event.
On game day, the team and volunteers worked tirelessly to make the event a success. Highlights included a bake sale, 3D-printed keychains crafted by a talented 9th-grade player, and other creative items that boosted donations. Parents generously contributed pink volleyballs, flags, and warm-up gear, adding to the event’s spirit.
Thanks to the collective efforts of the players, parents, and the wider community, the team raised an impressive $1,691 for The Side-Out Foundation. With 40 players across Varsity, JV, and Middle School teams, everyone played a role in gathering donations and contributing to the event’s success.
While the fundraising total was remarkable, the Dig Pink Game was about more than numbers. It was a testament to the power of unity, honoring loved ones, and making a difference for a cause that touches so many lives. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to making this event such a success!
