Last week, the Half Hollow Hills Varsity Cheerleaders took their trademark spirit off the sidelines and into the heart of the community with a special visit to Sunrise Senior Living of Dix Hills. In a heartwarming afternoon filled with laughter, connection, and cheer, the team spent time playing bingo and bonding with the wonderful residents.
The cheerleaders were met with a warm welcome from Sunrise staff and residents, who have become cherished supporters of the team through ongoing community events. This latest visit served as yet another reminder of how meaningful intergenerational connections can be.
One of the day’s highlights came when the residents joined in the fun and even learned one of the squad’s cheers, sharing in the joy and energy that defines the team. The smiles and laughter that filled the room made it clear: this visit was just as impactful for the cheerleaders as it was for the seniors.
The Half Hollow Hills Cheerleaders are proud to give back to a place that means so much to their local community and look forward to many more visits in the future.
