About:
The Half Hollow Hills East Redhawks recently turned game day into an opportunity to recognize heroes and support an important cause during their special Army vs. Navy Appreciation Week matchup against the Northport Tigers.
Held at The Nest at Half Hollow Hills East High School in Dix Hills, the event celebrated veterans and members of the military while also showing support for those affected by breast cancer.
A special Army-Navy ceremony took place prior to the 2:00 PM kickoff, bringing the school and local community together for an afternoon centered on gratitude, awareness, and unity.
By combining athletics with meaningful recognition, the Redhawks demonstrated how high school sports can provide a powerful platform to honor those who have served while standing with individuals and families impacted by breast cancer.
It was a memorable day that showed the impact student-athletes and school communities can make beyond the game.
