About:
Hanover High School freshman Addison Hill, Class of 2030, is showing how one student can bring an entire community together through service.
As a Project 351 Ambassador for Hanover, Addison represents her community as part of a statewide nonprofit that brings together one student ambassador from every Massachusetts community. Project 351 focuses on developing young leaders through kindness, compassion, humility, and gratitude while encouraging students to create meaningful change in their hometowns.
Since becoming an ambassador in eighth grade, Addison has participated in several service initiatives and has also created projects of her own. One of her first efforts was a pajama drive held in partnership with Cradles to Crayons. With the support of the Hanover community, the project collected 315 brand-new pairs of pajamas for children in need.
Most recently, Addison organized a special tribute in recognition of the 25th anniversary of September 11. She invited community members to paint patriotic rocks honoring the victims of 9/11 as well as members of the military, veterans, firefighters, police officers, EMTs, and others who serve their communities and country.
Together, residents created approximately 100 painted rocks, which Addison presented to the Hanover Fire Department on September 9. The rocks will remain on display there as a lasting symbol of unity, gratitude, service, and remembrance.
The project gave residents of all ages an opportunity to participate while helping preserve the importance of September 11 for a new generation.
For Addison, the experience has reinforced an important lesson about leadership and service.

Through her compassion, initiative, and commitment to giving back, Addison is demonstrating the kind of leadership that strengthens communities and inspires others to serve.
