About:
The Harborfields High School community once again came together for a meaningful evening of support and inspiration during the annual Girls Varsity Basketball Coaches vs. Cancer Game.
This year’s event was especially powerful as the team welcomed honorary captain Belle, a courageous young cancer warrior whose strength and resilience served as a source of motivation for players, coaches, and fans alike. Her presence helped remind everyone in attendance of the true purpose behind the night — raising awareness and standing together in the fight against cancer.
Student-athletes played a key role in creating an uplifting atmosphere filled with school pride and compassion. With support from the Harborfields Booster Club, HF Stand Up Strong, Harborfields Youth Cheer, and the broader community, the event highlighted how athletics can unite people around causes that matter.
Initiatives like Coaches vs. Cancer not only raise awareness and support for families facing serious health challenges, but also provide valuable leadership opportunities for student-athletes to demonstrate empathy, advocacy, and teamwork beyond competition.
Through their dedication and community engagement, Harborfields Girls Basketball continues to embody the spirit of being stronger together — proving that the impact of sports extends far beyond the final score.
