About:
For all of the years that I have being coaching whether it was here at Harrison or another district, I always have a Pink Game and a bake sale to raise money for a foundation. However, due to COVID-19, I had to come up with something different this year which brought me to online. https://harrisonbeatrye.itemorder.com/sale
My whole team, all 25 of them, are responsible for helping fundraise by spreading the word about these shirts. We got other athletes and coaches on board as well as administrators, family and friends. However, this is not a requirement or community service project, but for something that we do to help a foundation.
The foundation I chose the past couple of years and the girls have agreed on, is one of a family friend, The Nancy B. Clemente Cancer Fund. Nancy is a two-time breast cancer survivor, or “thriver” as she likes to say. Her foundation develops free education programs for breast cancer patients, caregivers, family members, and even healthcare professionals. She also provides lymphedema compression garments to breast cancer patients who do not have insurance or whose insurance does not cover it. http://clementefund.org
