On Sept. 11, Hauppauge High School’s chamber choir was invited to perform at the Hauppauge Fire Department’s 9/11 remembrance ceremony.
Serenading members of the Hauppauge community, fire house volunteers and staff, the chamber choir performed four songs, including the national anthem, “A Parting Blessing,” “Bright Light” and “God Bless America.”
Recording secretary and firefighter Edward Giannelli, Deacon Edward R. Vigneaux of St. Thomas More Parish, Current Fire District Commissioner Louis Zara and First Assistant Chief Christopher Crean also spoke during the ceremony, remembering the fallen heroes of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
