About:
On May 21, Herricks Public Schools brought families together for an evening of connection and care at the inaugural Mental Health and Wellness Fair. Hosted at the Community Center, the vibrant event invited elementary students and their parents to participate in engaging, hands-on activities designed to teach practical stress-management tools and foster long-term emotional well-being.
The fair featured a wide range of interactive wellness stations and educational resources. Attendees left equipped with valuable, everyday strategies to navigate daily stressors together as a family, strengthening the bond between home and school.
The success of the evening was a true collaborative effort. The district extends its deepest gratitude to the dedicated team of school social workers whose thoughtful planning and organization made this meaningful event possible. Additionally, a special thank you goes out to the wonderful volunteers whose warmth and enthusiasm created such a welcoming and supportive environment for all Herricks families in attendance.
Through events like the Mental Health and Wellness Fair, the Herricks community continues to prioritize the holistic well-being of its students, proving that support, connection and education are the cornerstones of a healthy community.
