This evening is a special one because not only do we have a great conference matchup between the Wheatley Wildcats and your Hewlett Bulldogs, but we are also helping to raise money and awareness to support the fight against breast cancer.
When you fundraise for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, you support the world’s top researchers who deliver better outcomes for people with breast cancer every day. Without question: research is saving lives – and it’s all because of you!
We chose this charity because there are 3 coaches between the girls’ and boys’ programs who have family members that are currently battling or are survivors of this awful disease. 1 in 8 women are diagnosed with breast cancer during the course of their lives.
Men, although more rare circumstances, are also at risk of the disease.
With that said, we will be taking donations, selling t-shirts, bracelets and cupcakes down near the middle of the track. Please be respectful of the game and do not come down while the game is in session. Meaning, the table will be open for sales and or donations before the game, at the end of each quarter, halftime and briefly at the end of the game!
