About:
Student leaders from Half Hollow Hills High School West are making a hands-on impact by giving back to their environment and community.
Members of the Hills West Key Club recently participated in a beach cleanup at Jones Beach State Park, demonstrating their commitment to environmental stewardship. The initiative, led by Key Club officer Ashley Pellicione and supported by advisor Kelly Madden, brought together 21 student volunteers for a day of meaningful service.
Working collaboratively, students helped remove debris and protect the natural beauty of one of Long Island’s most treasured coastal spaces. Their efforts not only contribute to a cleaner environment but also raise awareness about the importance of preserving local ecosystems.
Through leadership, teamwork, and a shared sense of responsibility, these student-athletes and club members continue to show how small actions can create lasting impact—proving that the next generation is ready to lead the way in protecting our planet.
