This past weekend, Hofstra Pride student-athletes stepped off the field and into the community to participate in the Shake-a-Rake initiative. With rakes in hand and smiles on their faces, they dedicated their time to help local residents by tidying up yards and raking leaves.
Volunteering through programs like Shake-a-Rake not only allows our student-athletes to connect with the community but also teaches valuable lessons in teamwork, service, and giving back. It’s a great reminder that true pride extends beyond the game—it’s about supporting and uplifting others.
