A tradition at Davison Avenue Intermediate School in the Malverne Union Free School District, students hosted a Veterans Day Assembly on Friday, Nov. 9. In this 25th annual event honoring local veterans, the third-grade chorus performed many patriotic songs, including “Armed Forces Pride of America.” This year, the school received a special proclamation from Nassau County Executive Laura Curran’s office for all that the school does to welcome and honor our nation’s heroes.
