About:
Students in Ms. Carissa Agnello’s class at Lafrancis Hardiman Elementary in the Wyandanch Union Free School District have been learning about Veterans Day and the importance of honoring those who have served the United States as members of the military.
Ms. Agnello invited students, staff and administrators across the district to share photos of themselves, friends or family members who are veterans. These photos were then used to create the “LFH Veterans Wall of Honor,” which her students helped decorate to display in the lobby for all to see.
Additionally, students throughout the school wrote letters of thanks and appreciation, which will be delivered to the Northport VA Medical Center and distributed to vets.
