About:
Members of the Horace Greeley High School basketball program recently took time off the court to support their community by volunteering at The Pantry in Mount Kisco.
During their visit, the student-athletes helped distribute free, fresh produce to families across Northern Westchester, providing important food resources to community members in need. The players also assisted with restocking shelves, organizing inventory, and helping with cleanup, ensuring the pantry could continue serving families efficiently.
The experience allowed the athletes to see firsthand the importance of community service and the role organizations like The Pantry play in supporting local residents. By stepping in to help with daily operations and food distribution, the team made a meaningful contribution while learning more about the impact of volunteer work.
The Greeley basketball program continues to demonstrate that leadership extends beyond the court. Through service opportunities like this, the players are helping strengthen their community while showing the value of teamwork, compassion, and giving back.
