About:
The Islip High School Girls Soccer team kicked off Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a heartfelt tribute to their coach, Coach Whitehouse, a breast cancer survivor whose strength and resilience continue to inspire her players.
On October 6, the student-athletes proudly wore special shirts honoring Coach Whitehouse, demonstrating that their bond extends far beyond the soccer field.
More Than a Team, They’re a Family
The meaningful tribute was an opportunity for the players to celebrate their coach’s strength while raising awareness for breast cancer and showing support for those affected by the disease.
By coming together to honor Coach Whitehouse, the Islip girls demonstrated the importance of compassion, unity, and supporting one another through life’s challenges.
The gesture served as a powerful reminder that being part of a team means more than competing together. It means standing by one another both on and off the field.
